Rural Airstrips Agency was established with the sole purpose of facilitating and conducting maintenance and restoration of rural airstrips. We have 90 rural airstrips currently in our program. These airstrips are either being restored ( or schedule for the restoration process) or they are currently in the maintenance program. The rural airstrips are in most cases the most important link to basic services and connectivity to the rest of PNG.
