The RAA Airstrip Maintenance Officers are local community representatives based at rural airstrips maintained by RAA. These RAA are trained by RAA to maintain these Rural Airstrips at basic standards to meet the minimu requirement of CASA standards.
The AMOs provide daily reports from the airstrips (where connectivity permits). These reports provide us daily information on surface conditions, weather, cloud cover and other factors that will effect operators on the day.
